Shimla Faces Heavy Rainfall: Roads Closed and Power Disruptions

Shimla Municipal Corporation (SMC) is working hard to fix damages caused by heavy rainfall on Monday night. They have formed a special team to handle disaster situations and complaints.

Wall Collapse Near Hospital

A wall collapsed near Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital, narrowing the road. Fortunately, no major damage occurred, and no one was hurt. The SMC commissioner, Bhupinder Atri, said they are ready 24/7 to respond to any rain-related threats.

Roads and Power Supply Affected

Locals reported that continuous rain damaged roads and disrupted electricity. 70 roads and 51 water supply schemes are closed, and 84 electricity supply schemes are disrupted. The India Meteorological Department predicts reduced rainfall from July 8.
