New Delhi, August 24: Shikhar Dhawan, the famous Indian cricket player, has announced his retirement from all forms of cricket. Dhawan’s career, which began in Delhi, has left a lasting impact on the cricket world.
Known for his calm demeanor and trademark ‘thigh celebration,’ Dhawan first played for India in October 2010 against Australia in Visakhapatnam. Although his debut was not successful, he soon became a key player in white-ball cricket.
In 2013, Dhawan made a significant mark by scoring 187 runs against Australia in Mohali. Over his 14-year career, he played 167 ODI matches, scoring 6,793 runs with an average of 44.1, including 17 centuries and 39 fifties. In T20I, he appeared in 68 matches, scoring 1,759 runs with an average of 27.9, including 11 fifties.
