Sheikh Sultan Emphasizes Conservation in Sharjah’s Nature Reserves

Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, the Ruler of Sharjah, has highlighted the importance of nature reserves in the emirate. He stated that these reserves are not meant for public recreation but are crucial for maintaining a balanced environment. They serve as safe havens for endangered species like birds, insects, and reptiles. Public access could threaten their safety.

During a call to the “Direct Line” program, Sheikh Sultan announced a new environmental project along Al Dhaid Road. This project will allow camels, goats, sheep, and horses to roam freely in a large fenced area, with parking available for visitors to observe. He emphasized the need to preserve Sharjah’s unique natural treasures and urged residents to respect nature.

Sheikh Sultan has been committed to environmental conservation since 1972, ensuring that wildlife in the reserves thrives naturally without external interference.
