Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the leader of the UAE, welcomed Dr Badr Abdel Ati, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Migration from Egypt, at Qasr Al Shati in Abu Dhabi. Dr Badr Abdel Ati conveyed greetings from Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, wishing the UAE continued progress and prosperity. Sheikh Mohamed sent his regards to President El-Sisi, wishing Egypt further growth and development.

During their meeting, they discussed the strong relationship between the UAE and Egypt, focusing on cooperation in economic, developmental, and political areas. They also talked about regional and international issues, particularly the conflict in Gaza. Both leaders stressed the importance of international efforts to stop the conflict and ensure the safe delivery of aid to Gaza residents.

They agreed on the need for a comprehensive and lasting peace based on a two-state solution to enhance regional security and stability. The meeting highlighted the importance of continued consultation and coordination between the UAE and Egypt to address regional challenges effectively.

The meeting was attended by several high-ranking UAE officials, including Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs; H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Special Affairs; Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Advisor for Special Affairs at the Presidential Court; and Dr. Ahmed Mubarak Ali Al Mazrouei, Chairman of the President’s Office for Strategic Affairs at the Presidential Court.
