During the second day of GITEX Global 2024 at the Dubai World Trade Centre, the Sharjah Government Pavilion attracted significant attention from technology experts and visitors. The pavilion displayed Sharjah’s latest digital technologies aimed at advancing digital transformation and improving government services.

Key Figures and Visits

Sheikh Saud bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Higher Committee of the Sharjah Government Pavilion and Director-General of Sharjah Digital Authority, visited the Abu Dhabi Government Pavilion. He was welcomed by Ahmed Tamim Al Kuttab, Chairman of the Government Empowerment Department in Abu Dhabi. Sheikh Saud learned about AI-driven digital solutions enhancing customer experience and government efficiency.

Innovative Projects and Apps

The Sharjah Sports Council introduced the “Hakam” app, encouraging public participation in physical activities and park visits. Developed with Sharjah Municipality, it helps users monitor health and engage in sports challenges. The Holy Quran Academy launched the “Tilawa” app, using AI for Quran recitation and correction, allowing users to record their recitations.

Agriculture and Finance Innovations

The Sharjah Agriculture and Livestock Department offered virtual tours of its farms, showcasing advanced biotechnology at the Sharjah Wheat Farm and smart monitoring at Mleiha Dairy Farm. The Sharjah Central Finance Department introduced the “Al-Mustashrif” app, using AI to analyze financial data for precise forecasting and resource planning.
