Sharjah Charity International (SCI) spent AED84.3 million on aid programs in the UAE during the first half of the year. This included AED6.7 million for monthly aid, AED31.2 million for seasonal programs, and AED39.6 million for one-time aid.

Medical Aid

SCI provided AED15 million for medical aid, benefiting 743 patients with serious conditions like viral hepatitis, cancer, and kidney failure. The aid covered essential treatments such as liver transplants, heart surgeries, and more.

Housing Assistance

Housing assistance worth AED8.3 million was given to 906 beneficiaries. This included home repairs, essential appliances, and settling overdue rent and utility bills.

Educational Support

SCI provided AED4.8 million in educational assistance, covering tuition fees and supplying tablets to over 680 students from low-income families.

Debt Relief

The association helped 1,100 individuals secure their release from penal and correctional facilities by paying off their debts.

Monthly Aid

Total cash assistance of AED6.7 million was provided to orphans, widows, divorcees, and those who lost their livelihood. This aid is renewable based on the family’s circumstances.

Seasonal Programs

SCI spent AED31.2 million on seasonal aid, including the Ramadan campaign “Joud” and the Winter campaign, which provided meals, clothing, and other essentials to those in need.

Community Participation

SCI carried out several community projects totaling AED3.4 million, enhancing partnerships with other institutions to improve public services.
