Shan Masood Praises Babar Azam Amidst Test Cricket Challenges

In Karachi, Pakistan’s Test captain Shan Masood has expressed admiration for Babar Azam, calling him one of the world’s best batsmen. Despite Babar’s recent struggles in Test matches, where he scored only 352 runs in his last nine Tests at an average of 20.71, Masood remains confident in Babar’s abilities. Babar has an impressive record with 3,997 runs in 55 Tests, including nine centuries and 26 fifties.

Pakistan has announced its 15-member squads for upcoming white-ball series tours to Australia and Zimbabwe, starting November 4. Babar Azam will be rested for the Zimbabwe tour but will participate in the Australia series. Masood believes that Babar’s break will be beneficial, allowing him to return as a stronger player.

Recently, Babar resigned as Pakistan’s white-ball captain, a decision accepted by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). Mohammad Rizwan has been appointed as the new white-ball captain, with Salman Ali Agha as vice-captain. Pakistan’s team has already arrived in Australia, with the first ODI scheduled at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.
