Seven People Die After Wall Collapse in Datia, Madhya Pradesh
In a tragic incident in Datia, Madhya Pradesh, seven people lost their lives when a wall of the Rajgarh Fort collapsed due to heavy rain. The incident happened in the early hours of Thursday at around 4 am in the Khalkapura locality.
Details of the Incident
According to locals, the wall fell on a house, trapping nine family members. Locals managed to rescue two people, who were then taken to the hospital and are safe. The remaining seven were trapped inside.
Rescue Efforts
Collector Sandeep Kumar Mawkin explained that the narrow path to the site made it difficult for heavy machinery to reach. The State Disaster Emergency Response Force (SDERF) team, along with other officials, managed to recover three bodies initially. Later, using machinery, they recovered all seven bodies.
Victims Identified
The deceased were identified as Shivam Vansakar (22), Suraj Vansakar (18), Kishan Vansakar (60), Prabha Vansakar (56), Niranjan Vansakar (60), Mamta Vansakar (55), and Radha Vansakar (25). The injured are Munna Vansakar (59) and Akash Vansakar (25).

Chief Minister Mohan Yadav expressed his sorrow over the incident and announced a relief amount of Rs 4 lakh for the families of the deceased. He also posted his condolences on social media, praying for the departed souls and strength for the bereaved families.
