Senior Citizen Attacked in Karachi for Confronting Drug Users

In Karachi, Pakistan, a senior citizen was brutally assaulted by a group of drug users after he confronted them about openly using drugs outside his residence. The victim has filed a formal complaint at the Korangi Industrial Area police station, seeking legal action against the perpetrators.

Rising Drug Abuse in Pakistan

This incident highlights the rising issue of drug abuse in Pakistan, particularly the increasing use of Ice, also known as crystal methamphetamine. Crystal meth is a highly addictive stimulant that has devastating effects on individuals and society. Its usage has been particularly prevalent among the younger generation, who are attracted to its ability to enhance energy, alertness, and confidence.

Human Smuggling Arrests in Lahore

Meanwhile, incidents of human smuggling are also on the rise in Pakistan. Recently, a person named Azhar was arrested in Lahore on charges of smuggling people outside the country. Authorities recovered seven Pakistani passports, six Computerised National Identity Cards (CNIC), and various counterfeit stamps from the suspect. Earlier this month, another suspect named Maqsood was arrested in Mirpur Khas for visa fraud, having deceived a citizen by promising a work visa for Portugal and taking Rs 1,000,000.
