Security Forces Seize Fake Currency Printed by Naxals in Sukma, Chhattisgarh
Security forces in Sukma, Chhattisgarh, have recovered a large amount of fake currency notes and equipment used to print them, all belonging to Naxalites. The operation was led by Superintendent of Police Kiran Chavan on June 22.
Details of the Seizure
The recovery was made on a forested hill near Korajguda village. The seized items included:
- Fake notes in denominations of Rs 50, Rs 100, Rs 200, and Rs 500
- A colored printing machine
- A black and white printer
- An inverter machine
- 200 bottles of ink
- Four printer cartridges
- Nine printer rollers
- Six wireless sets with chargers and batteries
Recent Encounter
Earlier last week, eight Naxalites were killed in an encounter in the Abujhmad forests of Narayanpur district. A jawan lost his life, and two others were injured. The operation involved the District Reserve Guards, Special Task Forces, and the Indo-Tibetan Border Police’s 53rd Battalion.
