Security Forces Lead Grand Tiranga Yatra in Ayodhya on Independence Day

Ayodhya (Uttar Pradesh) [India], August 15: On the 78th Independence Day, security forces held a grand Tiranga Yatra in Ayodhya. The procession started from Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Darshan Marg and included district police, CRPF, SSF, PSC, ATS, and the commando team.

Route and Participation

Ayodhya Superintendent of Police, Raj Karan Nayyar, stated, “We started from Sugreev Kila to Lata Mangeshkar Chowk and concluded it with devotees joining in the Tiranga Yatra along the way.” The police band also performed at Lata Mangeshkar Chowk.

Prime Minister’s Address

Prime Minister Narendra Modi hoisted the tricolour and addressed the nation from the Red Fort in Delhi. He outlined the goals of ‘Viksit Bharat 2047’ and urged citizens to work towards these goals. The theme of this year’s Independence Day is ‘Viksit Bharat @ 2047’.

Celebrations at Red Fort

The Prime Minister paid tribute to Mahatma Gandhi at Rajghat before reaching the Red Fort. The Punjab Regiment Military band played the National Anthem during the flag hoisting. Flower petals were showered by two Advanced Light Helicopters of the Indian Air Force. Around 6,000 special guests were invited to witness the celebrations.
