Security Forces Engage in Multiple Operations Against Terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir
In the region of Kupwara, Jammu and Kashmir, an encounter erupted between security forces and terrorists in the Margi, Lolab area. The Indian Army and Jammu Kashmir Police initiated a joint operation based on specific intelligence about terrorist presence. The operation is ongoing, as confirmed by the Indian Army’s Chinar Corps.
Meanwhile, in Bandipora, security forces have successfully eliminated one terrorist during the ongoing Operation Kaitsan. This operation was launched by the Indian Army, Jammu & Kashmir Police, and CRPF in the Chuntawadi Kaitsan area after receiving intelligence about terrorists in the Kaitsan forest.
Additionally, Jammu and Kashmir police, along with 22RR and 92 BN of the CRPF, apprehended a terrorist associate named Ashiq Hussain Wani from Tujar Shareef, Sopore.
In recent incidents, a grenade attack in Srinagar injured twelve people, including a woman. Earlier, two terrorists were killed in Anantnag, and three were neutralized in Akhnoor following an attack on an Army convoy. Tragically, a doctor and six workers were killed in a terrorist attack on a construction site in Ganderbal.
