Security Forces Clash with Terrorists in Rajouri and Kathua, Jammu and Kashmir
An encounter broke out between security forces and terrorists in Rajouri district, Jammu and Kashmir, on Sunday evening. The Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) of Jammu Zone reported that a joint search operation was launched based on specific intelligence about the presence of terrorists in Manail Gali under Thanamandi Police Station in Rajouri. In another encounter, a terrorist was killed, and warlike stores were recovered following Operation KUAIG, launched by the Army’s Rising Star Corps and the Jammu and Kashmir Police in Kathua district. Two Jammu and Kashmir police officers who sustained injuries in the operation were airlifted for treatment. On Saturday, one police personnel was killed, and two other security personnel sustained bullet injuries during an encounter with terrorists in the village of Kog (Mandli) in the Kathua district. The deceased head constable was identified as Bashir Ahmed, and the injured officers were Sukhbir, Dysp Operations, and ASI Niaz Ahmed.
