Raigad, Maharashtra – All schools and colleges in Raigad will be closed on Tuesday, July 9, due to a heavy rain warning. The Raigad collector’s office announced the closure to ensure the safety of students.

The Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation Education Department has also declared a holiday for all schools in its jurisdiction. Dr. Kailas Shinde, Commissioner of Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation, emphasized the importance of safety for children in his order.

The Regional Meteorological Centre in Mumbai has issued a red alert for Mumbai, Raigad, Ratnagiri, and Sindhudurg for Monday. A red alert has also been issued for Pune and Satara. The India Meteorological Department predicts heavy rainfall in various regions, including Mumbai, until July 12.
