SBI Foundation and SCHOOL Launch Health Initiative for TB Patients in Raipur
The State Bank of India (SBI) Foundation, in collaboration with local health authorities and the NGO SCHOOL (Society of Community Health Oriented Operational Links), has introduced a new program to support tuberculosis (TB) patients in Raipur, Chhattisgarh. This initiative focuses on improving health and nutrition for TB patients through two main strategies.
Nutritional Support for TB Patients
The program includes distributing nutritional food baskets to TB patients. These baskets are designed to meet the dietary needs of patients, helping to strengthen their immunity and aid in recovery by addressing caloric and nutritional deficiencies.
AI-Powered Diagnostic Tools
Additionally, the initiative introduces AI-enabled handheld chest X-ray machines. These portable devices allow healthcare workers to perform chest X-rays on-site, especially in rural areas with limited access to advanced diagnostic facilities. The technology provides real-time results, facilitating faster diagnosis and treatment.
