Saurabh Srivastava Thanks Naveen Patnaik for Continued Role as BJD Media Coordinator

Biju Janata Dal leader Saurabh Srivastava expressed his gratitude to former Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik for continuing his role as the party’s media coordinator. Srivastava shared his thanks on X, stating he is blessed to work under Patnaik’s leadership.

Earlier, Patnaik confirmed Srivastava’s position in a letter, stating, “I am glad to inform you that you continue as Media Coordinator, Biju Janata Dal, in New Delhi until further orders.”

Patnaik also criticized the Union Budget, presented by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on July 23, for neglecting Odisha. He pointed out that while special packages were allocated for Andhra Pradesh and Bihar, Odisha was overlooked. Patnaik highlighted unfulfilled promises made during the election campaign and the rejection of Odisha’s demand for a revision of coal royalty, which would result in significant revenue loss for the state.

Sitharaman’s Union Budget for 2024-25 outlined nine key priorities aimed at fostering economic growth and creating opportunities.
