AAP MLA Saurabh Bharadwaj took charge as a minister in the Delhi government after taking the oath. He will oversee eight departments, including Health, Urban Development, and Social Welfare.

New Leadership in Delhi

Atishi was sworn in as the new Chief Minister of Delhi along with five other AAP leaders. She retained all 13 departments she previously managed. Saurabh Bharadwaj, Gopal Rai, Kailash Gahlot, Imran Hussain, and Mukesh Ahlawat were also given various portfolios.

Oath Ceremony

Delhi Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena administered the oath and extended his best wishes to the new team. He expressed hope that they would work for the betterment of Delhi and its people.

Imran Hussain and Kailash Gahlot expressed their gratitude to former Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and emphasized that his guidance would continue. BJP leader Vijender Gupta criticized the new government, calling it a ‘dummy government’ controlled by Kejriwal.

Future Plans

Imran Hussain expressed confidence that AAP would win the upcoming Delhi assembly polls and bring back Arvind Kejriwal as Chief Minister. The new team aims to continue the policies and work initiated by the previous government.
