Saurabh Bharadwaj and Mallikarjun Kharge Criticize Government Over China Border Issues
New Delhi, India – Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Saurabh Bharadwaj and Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge have voiced strong criticisms against the central government regarding Chinese incursions at the Line of Actual Control (LAC).
Saurabh Bharadwaj’s Claims
On Monday, Bharadwaj claimed that the Indian Army is short of 3 lakh soldiers over the past five years due to halted recruitment. He stated, “The central government has surrendered before China. China is dependent on India for most of its trade. But we are unable to stop our trade with China.”
Mallikarjun Kharge’s Accusations
On Sunday, Kharge attacked the government, accusing it of failing to maintain the status quo at the LAC. He said, “Modi Ki Chinese Guarantee continues as his government wears 56-inch big Chinese Blinkers on its Laal Aankh.” Kharge also highlighted that a US-based satellite imaging company revealed Chinese advancements near Pangong Lake.
Kharge further criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s handling of the situation, stating, “Even as we enter the 5th year of the ‘CLEAN CHIT’ given by PM Narendra Modi on Galwan, where our brave soldiers sacrificed their lives, China continues to impinge upon our territorial integrity!”
Call for Transparency
Both leaders emphasized the need for the government to take the nation into confidence regarding the border situation with China. Kharge reiterated Congress’s support for the soldiers, saying, “We stand shoulder to shoulder with our valiant soldiers.”
