Sanju Samson to Open with Abhishek Sharma in India vs Bangladesh T20I Series
As the T20I series between India and Bangladesh approaches, former cricketer Aakash Chopra has shared his thoughts on Sanju Samson’s batting style. According to Chopra, Samson’s main issue is attempting too many shots while batting. In 2024, Samson has been waiting for more opportunities, having been part of the India squad that won the T20 World Cup but not playing since a warm-up match against Bangladesh.
Chopra suggested on his YouTube channel that Samson should open the batting, especially since Ruturaj Gaikwad is unavailable due to his participation in the Irani Trophy. Samson has experience batting in various positions, including opening and playing at No. 3, No. 5, and No. 6.
India’s captain, Suryakumar Yadav, confirmed that Samson will open the batting alongside Abhishek Sharma in the upcoming series. The first match will take place on Sunday at the newly inaugurated Shrimant Madhav Rao Scindia International Cricket Stadium in Gwalior.
