Sanjay Singh Criticizes RSS and Government Policies

Aam Aadmi Party Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh has voiced strong criticism against the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and the central government. Singh stated that RSS was banned by Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel due to their behavior of spreading hatred in society.

Singh also accused the central government of providing minimal tax devolution to Delhi, despite the city paying substantial taxes. He claimed that the Delhi government receives only Rs 325 crore in return.

Responding to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s accusation that opposition MPs stifle his voice in Parliament, Singh argued that it is the opposition’s duty to question the government on issues like inflation, unemployment, and farmers’ concerns.

Singh condemned an order from the Uttar Pradesh government requiring shopkeepers to display nameplates with their owner’s name, calling it unconstitutional and discriminatory. He pointed out that such orders target minorities and backward castes.

The Supreme Court has put an interim stay on similar directives for eateries along the Kanwar Yatra route.
