Sanjay Singh and Leaders Express Grief Over Hathras Stampede Tragedy

Tragic Stampede in Hathras: Leaders Express Condolences

Aam Aadmi Party Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh expressed his condolences to the families of those who died in a stampede at a religious event in Hathras district. He posted on X, ‘The news of the death of hundreds of people in the stampede during the Satsang in Hathras is extremely heartbreaking. May God grant peace to the souls of the dead and give strength to the family members to bear this immense pain.’

In this tragic event, at least 87 people lost their lives, and 18 were injured. Commissioner Aligarh, Chaitra V, confirmed, ‘So far the death toll is 87 and the number of injured is 18 and they are out of danger.’

Union Minister Rajnath Singh and Biju Janata Dal President Naveen Patnaik also expressed their condolences. Rajnath Singh called the accident ‘extremely painful’ and extended his deepest condolences to the bereaved families. He also wished for the speedy recovery of the injured and assured that the local administration is providing all possible help.

Naveen Patnaik stated, ‘Deeply saddened to learn about the loss of so many lives in the stampede in Hathras, Uttar Pradesh. My thoughts and prayers are with the bereaved families in this hour of grief and pray for the speedy recovery of those who are hospitalised.’

The Office of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath tweeted that the CM has expressed his condolences and wished for the speedy recovery of the injured. He has directed district administration officials to take the injured to the hospital for proper treatment and to speed up relief work. An investigation into the causes of the incident has been ordered under the leadership of ADG Agra and Commissioner Aligarh.

Hathras DM Ashish Kumar confirmed the increase in the death toll and stated that the district administration is investigating the matter. He mentioned that the injured are being taken to the hospital and people are still being recovered. A high-level committee has been formed to investigate the matter, and the primary focus is to provide all possible help to the injured and the families of the deceased.
