Sanjay Raut and Asaduddin Owaisi Criticize President Murmu’s Address
New Delhi [India], June 27: Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut criticized President Droupadi Murmu’s address to a joint session of Parliament, stating it reflected Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s agenda. Raut said, “This is no longer a Presidential address. This has been the PM Modi address for past 10 years. Whatever Modi ji wants will come out in her speech.” He also mentioned the lack of acknowledgment of the government’s minority status and ongoing issues.
Similarly, AIMIM MP Asaduddin Owaisi criticized the address, calling it “like old wine in a new bottle.” He pointed out the absence of mentions of minorities and unemployment. Owaisi also referenced US State Secretary Antony Blinken’s comments on increased hate speech in India and the demolition of religious places of minorities.
President Murmu, in her address, assured that major economic and social decisions would be announced in the upcoming Union Budget. She highlighted the stability of the government and the historic significance of the 18th Lok Sabha, formed during the early years of Amrit Kaal. She congratulated the newly elected members and expressed confidence in their ability to serve the nation.
