Maharashtra Elections: Sanjay Nirupam Criticizes Uddhav Thackeray’s Shiv Sena

As the Maharashtra Assembly elections approach, Shinde Sena faction leader Sanjay Nirupam has criticized Uddhav Thackeray’s Shiv Sena. Nirupam claims that Thackeray’s party is struggling to secure seats within the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) alliance, which includes Congress, Shiv Sena, and NCP. He described the internal conflict over seat distribution as a ‘trailer’ of future events, suggesting that the parties are conspiring against each other.

Nirupam stated that the MVA’s internal disputes would prevent them from gaining enough seats to come to power, predicting they would end up in the opposition. In contrast, he highlighted the unity within the Mahayuti alliance, led by the BJP, which he claims is poised to return to power with full strength. The BJP, according to Nirupam, is treating its allies with respect, ensuring a smooth seat-sharing process.

The Maharashtra Assembly elections are set for November 20, with results expected on November 23. In previous elections, the BJP and Shiv Sena have been significant contenders, with the BJP winning 105 seats in 2019 and 122 in 2014.
