During the 57th session of the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva, Sammul Baloch, representing the Baloch National Movement, condemned Pakistan for severe human rights violations in Balochistan. She highlighted the widespread practice of enforced disappearances, with thousands of Baloch citizens abducted by Pakistan’s security forces.

Alarming Statistics

According to Paank, a Baloch human rights organization, from January to June 2024, 269 individuals were abducted, 25 were extrajudicially killed, and 160 were tortured. These acts are part of a broader campaign against dissent, targeting both political activists and civilians.
