New Delhi [India], August 11: Samajwadi Party (SP) leader Ghanshyam Tiwari has criticized the security arrangements in Jammu and Kashmir, stating that they are not foolproof enough to prevent terror attacks. His comments came after two army soldiers, Havildar Dipak Kumar Yadav and Lance Naik Praveen Sharma, lost their lives in an encounter with terrorists in the Anantnag district.

Tiwari emphasized that the Centre should take responsibility for these security lapses. He said, “The army of our country is continuously making sacrifices. It is very sad that army soldiers are losing their lives and getting injured in encounters with terrorists. Security arrangements have not been made foolproof to prevent terrorist attacks.”

He also expressed hope that the Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh would take responsibility for improving security measures. Meanwhile, the Indian Army is conducting an operation to track down terrorists in the Ahlan Gadool area of Kokernag in Anantnag.

Army Chief Gen Upendra Dwivedi and all ranks of the Indian Army paid tribute to the fallen soldiers.
