Sajjad Shaheen and National Conference Team Up with Congress to Defeat Communal Forces in Jammu and Kashmir Elections
Sajjad Shaheen, a candidate from the National Conference (NC) in Banihal, Jammu and Kashmir, announced that their alliance with Congress aims to defeat communal forces in the upcoming assembly polls.
Speaking about the alliance, Shaheen expressed gratitude to the party leadership for his candidacy and emphasized the party’s readiness and commitment to fulfilling their promises and restoring dignity and honor in the region.
The NC will contest 51 seats, Congress 32, and they will have friendly contests on five seats. Additionally, one seat each has been left for CPI(M) and Panthers Party.
The elections will be held in three phases on September 18, 25, and October 1, with results on October 4. Voting will take place for 90 assembly constituencies, and the Union Territory has 88.06 lakh voters.
