People’s Conference President Sajjad Lone responded to critics accusing him of being a ‘poster boy’ for the BJP, urging voters to focus on development in the upcoming Jammu and Kashmir assembly elections.

National Conference Vice President Omar Abdullah suggested the BJP might form alliances with parties like People’s Conference. Lone countered by accusing Abdullah of previously supporting the BJP.

The elections, the first since the abrogation of Article 370, will be held in three phases in September and October.
