Sachin Tendulkar and Bollywood Stars Gear Up for ISPL Season 2

Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], August 18: India’s cricket legend, Sachin Tendulkar, is excited about the Indian Street Premier League (ISPL) and its potential to grow and provide opportunities for young cricketers. The ISPL, the first-ever tennis ball T10 cricket tournament played inside a stadium, is preparing for its second season from January 26th to February 9th, 2025, at Dadoji Konddev Stadium, Thane.

Trial Process and Key Dates

The trial process starts at the city level, with top performers advancing to the Zone Level. The final trials for each zone are scheduled as follows:

The process concludes with Simulation Matches on November 12th and 13th, 2024.

Community Involvement

This season, ISPL is inviting organizations and individuals to host registration camps, aiming to register at least 1500 players to establish their city as an official trial location. This initiative allows communities to support aspiring cricketers and gain recognition from ISPL.

ISPL’s first season in March was a huge success, attracting over 12,000 fans per match and a total of over 5 lakh fans. The league featured exciting elements like the ‘Tip Top’ toss, the 50/50 challenge, ‘Tape Ball Over,’ and ‘9 Street Runs,’ making every match thrilling. Celebrities like Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar, Hrithik Roshan, Saif Ali Khan, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Ram Charan, and Suriya Sivakumar added star power to the event.

The Tiigers of Kolkata, owned by Saif and Kareena Kapoor Khan, won the inaugural season, defeating Majhi Mumbai in a thrilling final.
