External Affairs Minister, S Jaishankar, met with several foreign ministers on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly session in New York.

Meeting with Cuban Foreign Minister

Jaishankar met Bruno Rodriguez, the Foreign Minister of Cuba, to discuss cooperation in health and food security. Jaishankar shared this update on X, expressing his pleasure in meeting Rodriguez.

Meeting with UK Foreign Secretary

Jaishankar also met UK Foreign Secretary David Lammy. They discussed strengthening the India-UK Comprehensive Strategic Partnership and the conflict in Ukraine.

Jaishankar congratulated Ahmed Fiqi on Somalia entering the UNSC as a non-permanent member for 2025-26 and discussed enhancing cooperation in health, education, training, and capacity building.
