RTI Activist Snehamayi Krishna Faces False Complaints Amid MUDA Scam Fight

RTI activist and petitioner in the MUDA scam case, Snehamayi Krishna, has responded to multiple FIRs against him, claiming they are false and aimed at stopping his activism. Krishna stated that over 23 cases have been filed against him, with eight proving his innocence and nine found to be false by police investigations.

Krishna criticized the state government, alleging that these cases are meant to hinder his efforts. He mentioned a specific complaint at Nanjanagudu police station, where he was accused of harassment and attempted attack, but he was in Mysuru at the time, as verified by his caller register and CCTV footage.

Regarding the MUDA scam, Krishna called for thorough investigations into alleged corruption involving over Rs 5,000 crore related to the Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA). He requested inquiries by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and the Enforcement Directorate (ED), highlighting corruption since 2015 and irregular allotment of MUDA sites.

Krishna emphasized that Siddaramaiah’s government exemplifies the corruption in MUDA. He mentioned that an advocate had filed a complaint with various authorities to investigate the financial backgrounds of all three complainants, including Krishna, who approached the Lokayukta Court, the People’s Representative Court, and the Governor in the MUDA scam case against Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.
