RSS Concludes Two-Day Meeting in Mathura

The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) held a two-day meeting in Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, at the Deendayal Gau Vigyan Anusandhan evam Prashikshan Kendra. The meeting concluded with RSS General Secretary Dattatreya Hosabale addressing a press conference.

Key Discussions and Initiatives

Hosabale emphasized the importance of ‘Swa’, meaning self-reliance and national identity, inspired by Mahatma Gandhi’s concept of Swarajya. He highlighted the 300th anniversary of Punyashloka Ahilyabai Holkar, noting her contributions to social awakening and governance.

The RSS focuses on personality development and plans to hold training camps for its members. Discussions included expanding the organization’s work, connecting with new ideas and people, and organizing programs for the upcoming Vijayadashami.

Expansion and Social Work

The RSS has expanded its reach with 72,354 shakhas in 45,411 locations, an increase from the previous year. The organization also conducts monthly meetings in areas without shakhas, totaling 1,13,105 units nationwide.

In times of disaster, RSS volunteers have provided relief, such as during floods in West Bengal and Odisha. They have also assisted in landslides in Wayanad and Karnataka, and floods in Vadodara, Jamnagar, and Dwarka.

Social and Cultural Emphasis

Hosabale stressed the importance of cultural values, education, and health, and called for regulation of internet content. He addressed the recent Bangladesh incident, urging Hindus to remain in their homeland.

On the Waqf Board and Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi issues, he stated that decisions would be guided by public sentiment and court rulings, respectively.
