RS Pathania from BJP Talks About Future of Jammu and Kashmir in Upcoming Elections
RS Pathania, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate from East Udampur in Jammu and Kashmir, has shared his thoughts on the upcoming legislative assembly polls. He believes these elections will not only shape the future of Jammu and Kashmir but also have a significant impact on South Asia.
Pathania pointed out that the region has faced a lot of challenges, including violence, bloodshed, and corruption. He is confident that the BJP will win the majority in the upcoming elections and bring peace and justice to the area.

The legislative assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir will be held in three phases on September 18, 25, and October 1, with the counting of votes scheduled for October 8. There are 90 assembly constituencies in total, with 7 seats reserved for Scheduled Castes (SCs) and 9 seats reserved for Scheduled Tribes (STs). These are the first assembly elections in Kashmir after the abrogation of Article 370.
In the previous assembly elections, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) won 28 seats, the BJP secured 25, the Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (NC) won 15, and the Congress won 12.
