Roshni Nadar Malhotra of HCLTech Receives France’s Highest Civilian Award

New Delhi, India – Roshni Nadar Malhotra, Chairperson of HCLTech, has been honored with the ‘Chevalier de la Legion d’Honneur’ (Knight of the Legion of Honour) by France. This is the highest civilian award given by the French Republic, recognizing her significant contributions to the business world, her efforts to promote economic ties between France and India, and her dedication to social and environmental causes.

The award, established in 1802 by Napoleon Bonaparte, was presented to Malhotra by Thierry Mathou, Ambassador of France to India, on behalf of the President of the French Republic. The ceremony took place at the Residence of France in New Delhi.

Malhotra expressed her gratitude, stating, “It is my privilege to receive this honor and it underscores the strategic relationship between India and France. HCLTech has a longstanding presence in France, which is a strategic market for us.”

HCLTech is a leading global technology company that operates in 60 countries, providing solutions in various sectors including financial services, manufacturing, life sciences, healthcare, technology, telecom, media, retail, and public services. The company reported consolidated revenues of USD 13.3 billion for the year ending in March 2024.

Thierry Mathou, Ambassador of France to India, highlighted Malhotra’s forward-thinking approach and HCLTech’s role in promoting business relations between France and India. He noted, “The French Republic acknowledges today not only Ms. Nadar Malhotra’s professional achievements but also her impact on society and her commitment to strengthening bilateral relations between our two countries.”

HCLTech has been operating in France since 2009, partnering with major French companies across various industries such as aerospace, manufacturing, financial services, and pharmaceuticals.
