Roof Collapses at Delhi Airport Terminal-1 Amid Heavy Rains

Early Friday morning, a roof at Terminal-1 of Delhi airport collapsed, damaging several cars. The incident happened around 5:30 am, and three fire engines were quickly sent to the scene, according to an official from Delhi Fire Services.

The collapse occurred during a period of heavy rains in the Delhi-NCR region, which also caused significant waterlogging in areas like Govindpuri and Noida Sector 95.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecasted continued rain and thunderstorms for the next seven days. The weather will include generally cloudy skies, varying intensities of rain, and gusty winds. Temperatures are expected to range from 27°C to 36°C, with wind speeds reaching up to 40 km/h.
