Rohit Sharma’s Coach Dinesh Lad Hopes for India to Win T20 World Cup Against South Africa

Dinesh Lad, the childhood coach of Indian cricket captain Rohit Sharma, has wished the Indian team good luck for their ICC T20 World Cup match against South Africa in Barbados. He expressed his desire to see Rohit lift the trophy.

India and South Africa, both undefeated in this edition, will compete in the T20 World Cup final. South Africa recently defeated Afghanistan, while India triumphed over England.

Speaking about the match, Dinesh said, “The way our players have been performing in the tournament, they will win this World Cup. South Africa is undoubtedly playing well, but being an Indian, I want India to win. Even more, I want to see Rohit holding the cup.”

Dinesh also supported Virat Kohli, who has had a poor run in the tournament, to perform well in the final. “Virat is not in form but I have this feeling that he will bat well today,” he added.

Virat, the leading run-scorer in T20 World Cup history, has struggled with just 75 runs in seven innings. Despite a stellar IPL season with Royal Challengers Bengaluru, his aggressive approach has not worked in the tournament.

On the other hand, Rohit Sharma has been in excellent form, scoring 248 runs in seven games. He is the third-highest run-getter in the tournament.
