Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and Rahul Dravid Celebrate India’s T20 World Cup Win in Delhi
On Thursday, skipper Rohit Sharma, star batter Virat Kohli, and head coach Rahul Dravid celebrated India’s T20 World Cup victory by cutting a special cake at ITC Maurya in Delhi. The team ended an 11-year ICC trophy drought by defeating South Africa in the final.
The Indian team arrived in Delhi to a warm welcome from fans. They had been stuck in Barbados due to Hurricane Beryl but were flown back by a special flight organized by BCCI secretary Jay Shah.
At the ITC Maurya hotel, the team celebrated with a cake featuring the T20 World Cup trophy. Rohit, Virat, Dravid, and Hardik Pandya were among the stars who participated in the cake-cutting ceremony.
After meeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the team will head to Mumbai for a grand celebratory parade, including an open-top bus ride at Marine Drive and the Wankhede Stadium.
