Rohit Sharma Praises Spinners Axar Patel and Kuldeep Yadav for Semi-Final Win Against England

India captain Rohit Sharma praised the spinners Axar Patel and Kuldeep Yadav for their outstanding performance in the T20 World Cup semi-final against England in Guyana.

After England’s Jos Buttler hit three boundaries off Arshdeep Singh, Axar Patel turned the game around by dismissing Buttler. Axar continued to trouble the English batters, finishing with figures of 3/23. Kuldeep Yadav supported him well, taking 3/19.

Rohit Sharma explained their strategy: “They (Axar and Kuldeep) are gun spinners. When the conditions like that are in front of them, it’s difficult to play some shots. We had a little chat after the first innings – try and hit the stumps as much as possible, keep the stumps in play.”

India’s Batting Performance

India lost Virat Kohli and Rishabh Pant early, but Rohit Sharma and Suryakumar Yadav’s 73-run partnership helped India reach 171/7. Rohit said, “We got to 170, which I thought was a very good score on that pitch, and then the bowlers were fantastic.”

England’s Struggle

England couldn’t adapt to the pitch conditions and were all out for 103 in 16.4 overs. The final will see India face South Africa in Barbados on Saturday.
