Rohit Sharma Leads Team India to Guyana for T20 World Cup Semi-Final Against England

Team India, led by skipper Rohit Sharma, has arrived in Guyana ahead of their semi-final match in the T20 World Cup 2024 against England. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) shared a video showing the team, including spinner Axar Patel, being welcomed by fans at the airport.

India is in excellent form, remaining unbeaten in the tournament. They recently defeated Australia by 27 runs and have only dropped points due to a rain-abandoned match against Canada. England has also reached Guyana, with their team posting a tweet as they boarded the aircraft for Georgetown.

The last T20 World Cup semi-final between India and England was 19 months ago in Adelaide, where England won by 10 wickets. This led to a strategic shift in India’s T20 approach, focusing on younger players and a more aggressive style.

India is aiming for its first T20 World Cup win since 2007 and its first World Cup victory in any format since 2011. The squad includes notable players like Virat Kohli, Hardik Pandya, and Jasprit Bumrah.
