India defeated South Africa by seven runs in the final to end a 13-year ICC World Cup drought. Virat Kohli’s 76 helped India reach 176/7, while Hardik Pandya and Jasprit Bumrah’s brilliant bowling restricted South Africa to 169/8. Bumrah was named ‘Player of the Tournament’ for his outstanding performance.
