Indian cricket captain Rohit Sharma has become the leading run-scorer in T20I, surpassing Virat Kohli. He also matched Pakistan’s Babar Azam’s record for most wins as a T20I captain. Rohit scored 92 runs off 41 balls, leading India to a 24-run victory over Australia.

In 157 matches, Rohit has scored 4,165 runs with an average of 32.03 and a strike rate of 140.75. Babar Azam is now second with 4,145 runs in 123 matches, and Virat Kohli is third with 4,103 runs in 123 matches.

This win secured India’s spot in the semi-finals against England. BCCI Secretary Jay Shah and Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha praised Rohit’s performance and the team’s success. Jay Shah wrote, “It was the Hitman show! You were simply brilliant with the bat, @ImRo45! Our unbeaten run continues as we head to the semis! Let’s bring this trophy home, boys!”

Rohit’s valiant effort, combined with other valuable contributions, powered India to 205/5. Despite Travis Head’s efforts, India’s bowlers secured a 24-run win.
