Rohini Court Demands Report on Alleged Rs 1 Crore Cheating Case Involving Police Officials
New Delhi [India], August 8: The Rohini District Court has called for an Action Taken Report (ATR) from the Station House Officer (SHO) of Bharat Nagar Police Station. This request follows a complaint by Dharmesh Sharma, a used car dealer, who alleges that he was cheated out of more than Rs one crore by four individuals, including a woman.
Sharma claims that the accused promised to expand his business and share profits but failed to do so. He also alleges that the accused have not returned the money or the cars purchased with it. According to Sharma, the accused are also in the used car sales business in the Ashok Vihar area.
Sharma further alleges that the accused have police protection and are involved in extortion from car dealers for illegal parking on the roads. He claims that a senior police officer is protecting the accused and that no action was taken when he reported the issue to the police by calling 112.
The complaint, filed through advocates Sanjay Sharma and Karan Sachdeva, has led Judicial Magistrate Apoorv Bhardwaj to demand an ATR from the SHO. The court has scheduled a hearing for September 30.
