This comes after Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina resigned on August 5 following student-led protests against the government.

Sheikh Hasina’s resignation led to President Mohammed Shahabuddin dissolving the parliament to form an interim government. Nobel Laureate Muhammad Yunus is set to lead this interim administration, with the oath-taking ceremony scheduled for 8:00 pm local time.
