In Ranchi, Jharkhand, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) State President Sanjay Singh Yadav expressed dissatisfaction with the seat-sharing arrangement for the upcoming Jharkhand assembly elections. He stated that the party was not receiving adequate representation and demanded 22 seats. Yadav emphasized the need for alliance partners to make collective statements.

RJD leader and Jharkhand Minister Satyanand Bhokta mentioned that the party is asking for the seats they won in the previous election. He acknowledged that disagreements are common in large alliances but expressed confidence in resolving issues and winning the elections.

RJD leader Mrityunjay Tiwari reiterated that RJD is a strong political force in Jharkhand and that the INDIA alliance would contest the elections unitedly, ensuring RJD receives its due respect.

The RJD is contesting the elections in alliance with the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) and the Congress. Meanwhile, the BJP announced its first list of 66 candidates and will contest the elections in alliance with the All Jharkhand Students Union (AJSU), Janata Dal (United) (JD-U), and the Lok Janshakti Party (LJP). Elections for all 81 seats in the Jharkhand assembly will be held in two phases on November 13 and November 20.
