New Delhi [India], July 22: India’s star wicketkeeper batter, Rishabh Pant, extended his wishes to the Indian contingent for the upcoming Paris Olympics. The Indian contingent, featuring 117 athletes, will be aiming for their best-ever medal haul in Paris, starting on July 26.

Rishabh Pant shared a video message on his social media, saying, “May the tricolour fly high at Paris. Wishing our Indian Olympic athletes all the best for Paris 2024.” He encouraged everyone to support the athletes who have been working tirelessly to make the country proud.

India achieved their best-ever medal tally in the Tokyo Olympics, winning seven medals, including one gold, two silver, and four bronze.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has also shown support by providing financial assistance to the Indian Olympic Association. BCCI secretary Jay Shah announced that the board will be supporting India’s Paris Olympics 2024 contingent with Rs 8.5 crores. Shah expressed his pride and wished the athletes the best of luck.

The Paris Olympics 2024 will run from July 26 to August 11, with India’s 117 athletes competing across 20 disciplines.
