Rescue Operation for Two-Year-Old Girl Stuck in Borewell in Dausa, Rajasthan

A two-year-old girl fell into an open borewell while playing in the Bandikui area of Dausa, Rajasthan, on Wednesday. This incident prompted the district administration to launch a rescue operation.

Officials on the Scene

Dausa District Collector Devendra Kumar, Superintendent of Police Ranjita Sharma, officials from the Water Supply Department, and local administration reached the spot as rescue operations started. Experienced teams from the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) and National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) are conducting the rescue operations.

Efforts to Rescue the Child

SP Ranjita Sharma stated, “We are putting efforts into doing it fast, as she is a child, and she has already spent more than 5 hours. We have called the SDRF and NDRF teams, who are experts in such kinds of rescue operations.”

She further added, “We are trying to know the movement and condition of the child through cameras. We are trying multiple methods so that the child can be rescued safely.”

District Collector Devendra Kumar mentioned, “SDRF and NDRF teams are present and are continuing their rescue operation. The medical team has also arrived to supply oxygen to the child. We are also trying to send food for the child as well.”

ASP Dausa, Lokesh Sonawal, said that the child is stuck at a depth of 35 feet in the borewell. He reiterated that oxygen had been supplied to the girl and her condition is stable. The SDRF team is on its way to the spot. Further information is awaited.
