Rescue Efforts Underway After Landslide Traps Two Workers in Mangaluru

In Mangaluru, Karnataka, a landslide during construction near Balmatta Road trapped two workers under mud. The incident happened around 12:30 pm on Wednesday.

Rescue teams, including the fire department, SDRF, and NDRF, are working hard to save the trapped workers. One worker has already been rescued and taken to the hospital, and he is in good health. Efforts are ongoing to rescue the second worker.

Dakshina Kannada Deputy Commissioner, Mullai Muhilan, stated, “We have been able to successfully retrieve one of them and he is healthy. The fire team, SDRF, and NDRF teams are carrying out a rescue operation. For the second person, a rescue operation is going on. We are trying from both angles of forecutting as well as removing the topsoil to retrieve the person.”
