Reliance Industries Limited, through its philanthropy arm Reliance Foundation, has maintained its position as India’s largest corporate philanthropy. In the financial year 2023-24, Reliance contributed Rs 1,592 crores to various impactful CSR initiatives, bringing its three-year cumulative CSR spend to over Rs 4,000 crore.

Key Areas of Impact

Rural Transformation

Reliance Foundation has enhanced the lives of over 2.6 million people through agricultural livelihood programs and reached 3.7 million people with knowledge and information advisories.

Healthcare

In 2023-24, the foundation provided over 710,000 consultations through Mobile Medical Units and the Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre.

Education

The foundation supports education from early childhood to higher education. In 2023, the Nita Mukesh Ambani Junior School was unveiled in Mumbai.

Women Empowerment

Reliance Foundation, in partnership with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, empowered 346,000 rural women entrepreneurs in FY 2023-24.

Sports for Development

The foundation aims to strengthen India’s sports ecosystem and develop grassroots talent. It launched the Olympic Values Education Programme (OVEP) to encourage children’s participation in sports.

Arts, Culture, and Heritage

Reliance Foundation promotes India’s rich arts, culture, and heritage. It showcased artisans at the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre and is renovating the Kalighat Temple in Kolkata.

Mukesh Ambani’s Leadership

For the fourth consecutive year, RIL Chairman Mukesh Ambani drew no salary, setting an example in the corporate world. He has not taken any remuneration since June 2020, in light of the COVID-19 outbreak.
