Reliance Foundation and Olympian Shiva Keshavan Inspire Kids on Olympic Day in Mumbai

The Reliance Foundation hosted a special event called ‘Let’s Move India’ at Reliance Corporate Park in Mumbai. This event, part of the International Olympic Committee’s global campaign, brought together 900 children from disadvantaged communities for a day of sports, fun, and learning about Olympic values.

Highlights of the Event

The highlight of the day was a meet-and-greet session with Shiva Keshavan, a six-time Winter Olympian. Keshavan shared his inspiring journey and emphasized the importance of Olympic values like excellence, respect, and friendship. He also participated in a ‘move and groove’ session, encouraging kids to stay active.

Activities and Fun

The event had a carnival-like atmosphere with various sports and educational activities. Children enjoyed basketball, football shootouts, walking races, and fitness sessions. There were also art and drawing stations for creative expression.

Community Involvement

Over 200 volunteers from the Reliance ecosystem helped organize and oversee the activities, highlighting the importance of community and volunteerism. Shiva Keshavan spoke about the benefits of physical activity and how sports can positively impact lives.

Leandro Larrosa, Director of Digital Engagement and Marketing at the IOC, thanked the Reliance Foundation for their collaboration. He expressed hope that the initiative would inspire more kids in India to embrace sports and an active lifestyle.

Future Plans

The ‘Let’s Move India’ campaign aims to reach 10,000 children from disadvantaged communities across multiple cities in India in the coming weeks. Supported by 500 Reliance volunteers, the initiative seeks to promote healthier lifestyles and positive growth among children.
