The Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) have announced the retention of left-arm seamer Yash Dayal for Rs. 5 Crores ahead of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 mega auction. RCB’s head coach, Andy Flower, praised Dayal for his ability to swing the ball both ways, calling him an extraordinary talent on an upward career trajectory. Dayal led RCB’s bowling attack in IPL 2024, taking 15 wickets in 14 matches with an economy rate of 9.15.

Andy Flower also spoke about retaining Rajat Patidar for Rs. 11 Crores, highlighting his exceptional talent and resilience. Patidar scored 395 runs in 15 matches during the last IPL season, with a strike rate of 177.13, including five half-centuries. Since his debut in 2021, Patidar has accumulated 799 runs in 27 matches with a strike rate of 158.85.

In IPL 2024, RCB finished fourth, winning seven out of 14 matches, but their journey ended with a four-wicket loss to Rajasthan Royals in the playoffs.
