Ravindra Prasad Jaiswal Appointed as India’s Ambassador to Albania
New Delhi [India], September 18: Ravindra Prasad Jaiswal has been appointed as India’s next Ambassador to the Republic of Albania, according to the Ministry of External Affairs. Jaiswal, an Indian Foreign Service officer from the 1999 batch, currently serves as Joint Secretary in the Ministry. He is expected to take up his new role shortly.
India and Albania have had diplomatic relations since 1956. In other appointments, V Venkataraman has been named the next Ambassador to the Democratic Republic of Congo. Rohitkumar R Vadhwana, a 2010 batch IFS officer and current Deputy High Commissioner in Nairobi, will be the next Ambassador to Bolivia. Sanjay Rana, a 1996 batch IFS officer and current Ambassador to Bulgaria, has been appointed as the next Ambassador to Morocco.
